Looking back at 2009

In spite of the lingering effects of a troubling economy, we have had a pretty good year at Systemates with our award-winning construction project management software, Projectmates. With new versions launched and new customer success stories to share, we have a lot to be thankful for!

We kicked off the year with Projectmates version 9.0 launched in March ‘09. This version offered a New Project Homepage complete with all the bells and whistles - powerful Ball-In-Court applet, a scrolling photo feature, and a project map powered by Bing. “I think the changes made to Projectmates are great!” blogged Larissa Wiley from Sunbelt Services. “The home page for the stores displaying the map, latest uploads/updates, & file storage space (used & limit) is really nice. Not too much for the eye to absorb, since all the aspects are compartmentalized in their own little areas.”

By June of ’09 we added an improved preventative maintenance and repair work orders. And we wrapped up the year with version 10.0 – offering a completely revamped financial module featuring Earned Value Analysis, Improved Budget Tracking and Portfolio Management. Our new releases are almost always based on customer feedback and we are always eager to get their comments.

We also successfully launched Projectmates Integration with Oracle accounting system for one of the nation’s largest S&P 500 retailer client. Projectmates offered our client feature-rich financial management tools that helped integrate their budgeting, invoicing and accounting efficiently. Another large government client streamlined their labor timesheets process with Projectmates financial tracking allowing the client to get a clear picture of total project costs in real time.

These increased efficiencies translate to savings that make a significant impact on the bottom-line. “Projectmates increases productivity so that our projects can be more profitable. I can use less people to get more work done!” says Mike Querry of Trinity River Authority. “I could only manage about six jobs at once and now I can manage about twenty at a time.”

Another notable accomplishment for Systemates this year was signing up as a LEED member. Projectmates’ web-based document management results in at least 3 tons of paper savings per project. Projectmates supports sustainable construction and its goals and mission are aligned with LEED.

In keeping with our objective to increase our web presence in 2009, we increased activity on our blog at http://blog.projectmates.com and launched our user group on LinkedIn. Looking back at the year, we can say with great pride that we enjoyed many note-worthy achievements. The most important of them being an enhanced software with all the functionality you expect and more. We approach 2010 with great excitement as we have many innovative ideas up our sleeves and we cannot wait to get cracking on them so we can roll these out to our customers and users in 2010.
