Projectmates Construction Management Software Version 9 is Launched to Great Acclaim

You spoke and we listened. You asked for greater functionality, customizable project dashboards, and a streamlined appearance and we delivered—with Projectmates Version 9.0. Here are just some of the advantages our ASP and Total Control server customers have realized in the upgrade to this web-based construction management software:

Project Home Page
There are many new and exciting changes that have occurred on the home page for every project, namely with customizable project dashboards. For instance, an improved Ball-In-Court section now allows users to filter their assignments by date or module and to send those items directly to their Outlook calendar. This means deadlines and dates won’t be missed again.

Project Photos
In earlier versions of Projectmates, photos were only part of the photo albums. With this recent upgrade, however,
users will notice the latest photos on a scrolling bar on the home page, along with the “Progress Pictures”. Choosing
an image will enlarge it in the pane just below the bar, where the user can then zoom in and out for more detailed views.


Project Map
Project map has also been added. And this is not just any map. This is fully customizable to the project location to show specific area landmarks, hardware stores, eateries, and the like for easy identification and access.

Schedule
Scheduling has also had a facelift, now providing users with the ability to track baseline, planned, and actual dates in
the schedule module. All three of these date categories are displayed in both the task list and Gantt chart views. This
functionality allows users to better manage scheduled tasks.

Budget
Users are thrilled to discover that an upgrade to Version 9.0 means there is now access to budget approvals. When building the budget, authorized users can alter the specified columns of detail; however, once the budget has been approved, those columns are locked from future editing. Then, that budget can be managed by making changes in the Variance column (column 2).

A Master budget overview has also been added so project managers have an at-a-glance progress report on all or some existing projects. It is completely customizable, so the user is able to create a Master Budget that fits his or her
particular needs. The Master Budget can also be used to approve and allocate funds to multiple subprojects and then
see the reports on actual costs of each subproject in the same view.

Customer Feedback
Projectmates users are excited about this new version. “I love the new Project Homepage!” says Kavita. “Now I can sort all my responsibilities by module or by week and prioritize my tasks.”

“From what I’ve seen this morning already, the changes to Projectmates are great!” says Larissa. “The home page for the stores displaying the map, latest uploads/updates, and file storage space (used & limit) is really nice. Not too much for the eye to absorb, since all the aspects are compartmentalized in their own little areas.”

Customizable Project Map
Did you know that you can show a map of your project along with any relevant nearby locations, such as competitors or satellite offices? With the release of Version 9 Projectmates' Construction Software has added this feature to every project’s home page. Simply put a valid address in the Project Info section to display the Project’s location in red on the map....

Budget & Commitments Tracking Dashboard
In the Sub-Contracts dashboard, you have an at-a-glance view of where the project currently resides in terms of budget and cost tracking. You instantly know what was budgeted, costs committed, any variance and the projected total. Report is color coded which makes it easy to spot any overages to the estimated costs....
