Quick Intro

Projectmates Part Order module is an order fulfillment system designed to streamline ordering parts and supplies from manufacturers, suppliers, and EDI consolidators.

Part order system is a versatile addition to Projectmates which allows sending order to suppliers via XML anytime, anywhere. Designed for the second largest retailer in the US, it can handle hundreds of orders and dozens of suppliers.

Part ordering system makes ordering easy for retailers. Here’s how it works.

Projectmates user creates an order by selecting parts or assembly of parts from a master list. User defines the quantity, supplier, and fulfillment date for each line item. After an order is approved for sending using a built-in approval process, a specially designed “Part Order Bridge” gathers order information almost immediately. The bridge converts the order in XML and forwards it to a requested supplier.

Once the supplier ships the order, it sends confirmation to Projectmates. Projectmates user can instantly see tracking information, how many parts have been sent and which parts are on back-order. Once the order is received, Projectmates user can specify how many items were actually received.
