Key Insights from the webinar
If you missed our recent live session, don’t worry, we’ve got the highlights right here.
We teamed up with the consulting pros at THAMPICO to walk through how Hoosier Energy leveled up its project delivery processes.
This was a front-row seat to the practical side of scaling construction programs: what worked, what didn’t, and what it takes to get a PMIS implementation right. Whether you’re still managing projects with spreadsheets or are already exploring construction software, there’s something here for you.

The Why: A PMIS Isn’t Just a "Nice-to-Have" tool Anymore
THAMPICO’s founding partner, Sirous Tampi, kicked off with the big picture: The construction world isn’t getting any simpler. Projects are more complex, early decisions carry more weight, and teams need better ways to collaborate and stay aligned.
Enter the PMIS or Project Management Information System. While your basic project tools might manage a few tasks, a PMIS serves at every level: enterprise, program, project, and planning.
Why is that important?
Because Owners need more than visibility. They need standardization, repeatability, and data they can trust. A PMIS centralizes processes, connects the dots between people and tools, and helps project teams work smarter, not harder.
Hoosier Energy’s Journey: From Silos to Standardization
Hoosier Energy is a rural electric cooperative in Indiana that formed a dedicated PMO in 2022. Like many teams, they started hitting the ceiling of what spreadsheets and siloed systems could support.
- The people challenge: Roles were shifting, and project managers all had their own way of doing things. No standard playbook.
- The process challenge: Project delivery wasn’t systematized. Risk tracking? Not really happening. Structured workflows? Missing.
- The tech challenge: Too many tools, none of them talking to each other. No single source of truth.
The goal was to find one platform that could do it all and do it well.
That’s when they brought in THAMPICO to evaluate the landscape and build a scalable roadmap. The result? A full PMIS implementation with Projectmates that kicked off in early 2024, and it’s already changing the game.
